PHAT W: The Father's Heart

There are some of you going through difficult times out there.  I just wish you could bear with me,
and spend a little time, to spend that time to hear what He has told me.
Please.

There is a story in the Bible, of a father with 2 sons (Luke15 : 11-32).  The younger son decides to take his share of his father's wealth,
and goes to the outside world.  After some wild living, the son is broke, and starts to regret.
He realises that those employed by his father, has food to spare, while he is starving to death.
He decides to return and say: "Father, I have sinned against heaven and you. I am no longer worthy to be your son"
But while he was still a long way away from him, his father saw him and was fill with compassion for him;
he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
The son apologises, but the father dresses him in the best clothes, and serves him a feast.
The older son, seeing this becomes jealous, and questions his father's actions.  He questions that why does he celebrate about the younger son coming home,
but why does he not celebrate that he, the older son has never disobeyed and slaved for his father.
The father replied that because the older son was always with him,
everything the father had was his, but the younger son was dead and is alive again;
lost and found.

No matter how far away from God we get, He'll always treat us as His sons.

No matter how long, He will just be glad that you would accept him again.

No matter what we have done, He will forgive us, and take us under His wing again.

All because of his undying, unconditional love for us all.

We should also celebrate those who find their way back to God, rather than hold grudges against their offences.

We should help God find His lost sons.

When you are weak and you are tired and in the rain.

When you have no more strength and no more motivation to go on.

We you are in need,

just call out, and our father, your father, will take you.

He will take you and He will shield you from the rain.

He knows the way home.  Everything is going to be alright.  He's saying to you:

"We're going to make it, I love you buddy.  Daddy knows the way home."

You cry out, He listens.

He isn't out looking for the healthy, He came for the sick.

PHAT W: Spiritual blessing + Identity

Praise Him All Together

--------------------------------------

SOAP #1 - Spiritual Blessing in Christ

Scripture

Observation

Application

Prayer

Ephesians 1 : 3-14

(4) For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

(7) In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace

(8) that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

God is always willing to forgive our sins, as He himself chose us.

He sent his only son, Jesus to be crucified on the cross, because He chose us.

He chose to give us a chance for redemption through Jesus' blood.

He chose us so that we may join Him once again in heaven.

God did so much, so that we have the choice to follow Him in life,

so that we will be saved when we are judged.

Your life is not just how much you do for yourself,

but how much you do for God.

Thanks hokey for info, I've forgotten most of it /_\

--------------------------------------

Talk #2 - Identity

In life, we endlessly compare ourselves to others:

Why am I not as strong as him?

Why does she earn more than me?

Why do they have a complete family?

We ask these questions in jealousy, and we can never live our lives fully while we endless compare ourselves

Only until we put down this jealousy can we start walking our own path,

the path drawn out to us by God.

A path which is perfect, although not always straight and even, it is perfect, and does not require modification by anyone.

At the end of the day, your jealousy will only slow you on this path, while those you are jealous of continue walking theirs.

Now you have a choice,

God always give you a choice - even if you pick the wrong choice, it will always lead back to the right one.

The question you should now ask yourself is this:

Are you ready to be yourself again?

Who are you?

Tell me your name.

The video shown at the talk, such a good speaker.

Wish he could come CCC XD

Proverbs 14 : 30

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

PHAT Winter: The Skinny

SATURDAY

Early 8am start...  Not ideal /_\

Had breakfast and started talk to other people

Then official activities started with a briefing and icebreaker

First talk (Talk #1) - Significance

Forgot to take notes, and memory of it has been overwritten by the other talks... (fail)

T.T

Went to nearby school to use their gym

Played quite a few games, most notably "boom chika boom boom" (group imitation game for those who don't know)

The guys got caught in the killzone again LOL

Dinner at COCM @7pm

Ended the night with group games, I was made group leader...

Because I was group leader, I took a raw egg on the forehead for the team XD

Self sacrifice FTW

Supper - group left me for dead as I was left to clean everything up, so Alex helped

What a bro!  We were both tired from games like everyone,

but we still carried on >=[

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUNDAY

Same start time again, only breakfast was minus Allie, who was pale later that day

Followed by group bible study thing (SOAP #1),

learnt stuff I never knew and gained new understanding

Another talk, (Talk #2) - Identity

Then took official group photo, outside COCM, I'll post it and photoshop Allie back on lol

Games @ gym again

Had a MK crew prayer meeting + those who tagged out in the basketball court

I'll never forget.  I'll never forget what Elliot reminded us of again - that how we were living our Christian lives,

that how, in God's eyes, is not enough.  Forgiven once does not equal forgiven forever.

We must all push to become the Christians He wanted us to be.

Allie Cassie and I were charged with tidying up the gym at the end

Man we're efficient XD

Workshop - (The Father's Heart) - based around the parable of the lost son

Dinner, and then Worship after it

A story was told to us between songs - (Worship : Jesus in our heart)

Very good worship, everyone was estatic, singing for our God, praising Him for all He did

Never have I praised Him like that, with even more than all my heart

I wanted to give all I have to Him, but I felt it was still not enough

That night, I sung as loud as I could with my brothers,

I prayed with as much as my heart could give,

and we shed tears of repent, of joy, of sorrow, and of praise together.

Together.

Thank you Lord

Although they planned for a movie, there was a mass exodus of picture taking instead

Still too early after camp ended to get those photos, I'll post the rest later

DSC07071

Bad phone camera.  Hmm

Celebrated Jame's Birthday~ yay

Everyone got crappy english cake but Allie and I got CHINESE CAKE

AHAHAHHAHAH

The sweet reward of helping out ^^

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MONDAY (last day)

Usual start, but helped serving breakfast with Allie.

Got special breakfast in return~Allie and Kevin exclusive XD

Group bible study again (SOAP #2) - see The Father's Heart

Parable of the Lost Son again

Third and final talk (Talk #3) - God's recipe of life

Then we got asked to write a letter to God,

and wrote small notes of encouragement to people we wanted to.

We gave and we recieved

daunting at first, but it proved to be no difficult task.

Felt like I was writing to a close close friend, someone who listens, someone who gives,

someone of who I am deeply thankful,

yet I owe Him so much - I owe Him myself, my life, the good and the bad, everything I have and am..

I poured my heart into that letter.

I poured my tears into that letter.

We all poured our hearts and tears into that letter.

One final worship.  One final song.

One final praise together before we went and walked our separate paths.

Everyone was touched to the bone.

I know I was.

We knew we all were.

Another final mass exodus of picture taking, only showing one due to the spam I just created

Untitled-1

Thank you Father.

Thank you so much.
